Greening School Grounds
Enhancements for wellbeing and wildlife
We are working with several schools in Oxford to improve their green spaces for young people and for wildlife. We’ve planted a hedge and The Cherwell School and have some trees to go in. We are building a pergola at Phil and Jim primary. We are helping with some enhancements to the already wonderful grounds at Cutteslowe School where their amazing Forest School leader has turned the playground into a haven for children and wildlife. And we are teaching a group of Year 12s at St Edward’s school to create some nature learning tools.
If you are interested in creating some more green space for the wellbeing of your children and staff, and to enhance wildlife habitat, get in touch and we’ll see if we can help.
Wildlife learning in your school grounds
Connecting young people with nature is one of the best things you can do for their wellbeing, concentration, calmness and all round happiness. You don’t need to get in a minibus to go and find it. We can guarantee you will have plants, invertebrates and birds in your school grounds, that you can use to engage your students. We are happy to come and help you look, and with some teaching and engagement ideas.
