While we work mostly at Wytham Woods, there are many other green spaces across the City and County where schools can take their students. However, to date we have not come across something that makes it easy for teachers to find them. So as a pilot we are compiling a list here to see how we get on. Our aim would be to list them by name, location, owner, permission requirements, access and parking, opportunities for learning, facilities, habitats, risk assessments. And pointing to the website and any learning resources available from the owners or managers.
Key resources are -
Woodland Trust website - they have lots of woodlands in Oxfordshire
Wild Oxfordshire website, which lists a mix of sites and organisations - it’s a bit hard to look just for sites on this one
BBOWT website
City Council website
