I am a mum who lives with my husband and 2 teenage boys in a low-energy house in Oxford that we eco-renovated over 10 years ago; we continue to share the lessons we learnt in the process with others through architecture and renewable energy studies and Green Open Homes events. About the Project - The Oxford Green HouseThe Oxford Green House

I am an officer in the Army Reserve and a Sustainability Governor at the Swan School, Oxford, where I am keen to ensure that our students and staff, many of whom care deeply about climate change and the biodiversity crisis, feel proud of their school and the way it is addressing both current and future challenges.

I enjoy travel and endeavour to do so as ethically as possible; we recently returned from a family adventure travelling by bus, boat and Brompton bike, meeting inspiring people who are having a positive impact on the world, from planting forests to rescuing turtles – I respect teachers immensely and I also believe that learning is not just something a child does in a classroom.

I am passionate about helping young people especially develop resilience and re-establish and strengthen a connection with nature so that they are more able to play their part in the transition to a more peaceful and sustainable world.
